Privacy Policy

When you use the contact form, we receive what you put into it: whether it is an emergency, the kind of property, the town, what is going on, your name and phone number, and, if you give them, your email address, the best time to call and a photo.

Photos have their hidden data removed before we store them, including the place the picture was taken. They are never shown on this website.

To keep out spam, the form also notes how long it took to fill in, and a check from Cloudflare, called Turnstile, confirms a person is using it. We keep a scrambled form of your internet address for one day, to limit how many messages one connection can send.

When you visit the site, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts the visit: which pages are viewed, the page you came from, the kind of browser and device, roughly which country, and how quickly the pages load. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not identify you. We run no advertising or other tracking.

When you call us, that is a phone call. It is not recorded by this website.

We use what you send us to reply to you. That is the whole purpose.

Before a message reaches us, a computer reads it: Claude, an AI system made by Anthropic, sorts real inquiries from junk and writes a one-line summary for us. It never replies to you and never speaks for us.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it or hand it to marketing companies. We do not send newsletters or marketing emails.

A real inquiry is kept, photo included, so that we can find it again if you come back to us later. The email it arrives in stays in our mailbox like any other.

Anything sorted as junk or spam is deleted after 30 days.

The scrambled internet address is deleted after a day.

Cloudflare, which runs this website, counts its visits, runs the Turnstile check and stores the form’s messages and photos.

Anthropic, whose Claude reads each message to sort it: what you wrote, your name, your email address if you gave one, the town, the kind of property, whether it is an emergency and the best time to call. It does not see your phone number or your photo, only whether you sent one. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, it isn’t used to train their AI.

Microsoft, whose email service sends each inquiry and keeps it in McClone Electric’s own mailbox.

Google, whose Gmail receives a forwarded copy.

The person who looks after this website for McClone Electric, who gets a copy of each inquiry.

Nobody else, unless we are legally required.
