What We Do
Thirteen things, and they’re all the same job underneath: put the power where it needs to be, make it safe, and make it stay that way.
Some of this is a two-hour call at a house. Some of it is a year on a new building. We’d rather do both than pick one: nothing is too big or too small.
Where the work happens
Commercial
Offices, restaurants, retail, banks, churches, warehouses, medical and dental offices, apartments and rentals. Parking lot lighting. LED retrofits, including help with the utility rebate paperwork. If a business can’t shut down during the day, we’ll do the work at night or over a weekend.
Residential
Houses, remodels, additions, service upgrades. Panels, outlets, lighting, ceiling fans, EV chargers, pools and hot tubs. If your breaker won’t stay in or half the kitchen went dead, that’s this.
Industrial
Plants, machine shops, fabrication, plastics, food processing, plating, distribution. Motor circuits, VFDs and drives, three-phase distribution, machine hookups. Infrared scanning to find the hot spot before it becomes a fire.
Agriculture
At McClone Electric, WE KNOW AG. Grain systems, bins, dryers, legs, augers and conveyors. Poultry and livestock buildings, ventilation and the controls that run them. Farm shops. Three-phase out where the poles run thin. Farmers were the first customers we had, and we still work for them.
The specialized work
Generator installation
Standby generators sized to the building and wired to transfer over on their own. Farms, homes and businesses. We’re not a dealer for any brand, so we put in whatever fits the job. On a farm, the generator is what keeps the fans turning in a closed livestock barn when the power goes out, and that’s the whole reason it’s there.
Custom controls
We make all of our control boxes in house. Motor starters, overloads, interlocks, numbered circuits, a printed label under every device. They’re designed, wired and tested in our own shop.
Communications cabling
Network and data cabling, and security cameras.
Solar installation
Solar panels, the inverter and the grid tie-in, on a roof or on the ground, for houses, farms and businesses.
Pole barn wiring
New barns and existing ones: panels, LED high bays, welder and heater circuits.
Electrical subcontractor
An electrical crew for general contractors and builders, on commercial, industrial and farm work.
Keeping it running
Emergency electrician
When it’s an emergency the phone gets answered, and it has been since 1981. Power out, breaker won’t hold, something smells hot, storm damage: call, and don’t leave it until Monday. On storm or fire damage that’s going through insurance, the best time to call is before the repairs start.
Maintenance
Infrared scanning, panel checks, and emergency and exit light testing with the documentation to prove it was done. Start with one walk-through and see what turns up.
Design build
In from the start on a new building, so the proper steps are taken from start to finish rather than worked around later.
