Solar Installation in Warsaw, Indiana

We install solar panels, the inverter and the grid tie-in, and the whole job is done by the same electricians who wire the rest of the building.

A solar system is an electrical system

The panels make the power. Everything after that is electrical work: the inverter, the wiring, the panel it lands in and the connection to the utility. That is where a bad install shows up.

We have been electricians in Kosciusko County since 1981. Solar is the newest thing we install, and we install all of it.

What we install

  • The panels, on a roof or on the ground.
  • The inverter, which turns what the panels make into power your building can use.
  • The grid tie-in, which connects the system to the utility.

We install it for houses, farms and businesses, the same three we have been wiring for forty-five years.

Roof or ground

Both, and which one suits you is a question about your building rather than a matter of preference.

A roof array uses space you already have and keeps the panels out of the way.

A ground array does not care which way your roof faces or what shape it is in, and everything on it stays reachable, which matters more than people expect years later.

Farms usually have the room for a ground array and a building that is not ideal for a roof one. Houses are often the other way round. It is worth looking at on site rather than deciding in advance.

The part that gets skipped

Solar gets sold on the panels, and the panels are the easy half.

What decides whether the system works for twenty years is the rest of it: whether the panel it lands in can take it, where the inverter goes and whether it will live there happily, how the tie-in is made, and whether any of it was sized for the building or for the brochure.

That is the ordinary electrical work we have been doing since 1981, and it is why we will come out and look at the building before telling you anything.

The power company

We deal with the utility paperwork. The interconnection side of a solar job is ours to handle and you do not need to chase it.

We are not selling you a loan

A lot of solar is sold by companies that are really in the financing business. We are electricians.

We will not promise you a number on your power bill, and we will not sign you up for anything. We will tell you what your building needs, what it takes to install it, and what it costs.

Pair it with battery backup

Solar on its own shuts off when the grid goes down, which surprises people.

Add a battery and it can keep running. We install the two together, and you decide how much the battery covers, from the circuits you cannot do without up to the whole house.
