An Electrical Crew for General Contractors

Are you a general contractor looking for an electrical crew that is dependable and trustworthy? Look no further.

McClone Electric is a second-generation electrical contractor in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Chris McClone started it in 1981, and these days his son Dustin runs it, in the same county.

A lot of what we do is subcontract work for builders and general contractors.

What you probably want to know first

We are licensed and insured, and we can get you a certificate naming you as additional insured. Ask and it comes.

We do prevailing wage work. That includes schools, municipal buildings and public projects.

We are bonded. If your project needs a bond, say so early and we will get it fixed rather than finding out about it late.

There is no ceiling on job size. We take on a tenant space, a whole new building, a plant addition or a farm complex, whatever comes up.

We work nights and weekends when the schedule needs it. A lot of commercial work can only happen when a building is empty, and we would rather plan around that than discover it.

We are local. Our shop is in the county. That matters the day a problem turns up, and it matters again in year two when your client calls you about it.

You get the same people. There is no rotating crew, and we are not a company that will have been sold twice by the time the warranty call comes.

What we take on

Commercial — offices, restaurants, retail, banks, churches, warehouses, medical and dental, apartments and rentals, parking lots. See commercial.

Industrial — three-phase distribution, motor loads, VFDs and drives, high bay lighting, infrared scanning. See industrial.

Agricultural — grain systems, poultry and livestock buildings, standby power that carries a whole building. This is the part most electrical subs cannot do, and if you build ag, it is the reason to call us. See agriculture.

Control panels, built in our own shop. Designed, wired, tested, every circuit numbered with a printed label under every device. See custom controls.

From the trench up

On new construction the electrical starts before there is a building: the trench, the conduit bank under the foundation, the transformer pad, the main gear, then the feeders.

Our last new commercial service, 2000 amps, is on the Warsaw page.

Bring us in early and we will tell you what we recommend: where the service comes in, how big the gear ought to be, what has to go in the ground before the concrete does. We do not hand you a set of blueprints. We work it out with you and then we build it. See design build.

Working alongside everyone else

We are used to being one trade among several, alongside the concrete, the steel, the mechanical, and whatever the weather does to all of them.

Let’s talk about your job

Call (574) 594-3532 or send us a message.

Tell us what the building is, roughly when you need us, and what you already know about the electrical. If we are not the right crew for it we will tell you that too.
