Electrician in North Webster, Indiana
North Webster is a lake town, and lake property does not wire up like a house in town.
Most calls out here are about the panel and the service, and after that it is the water.
McClone Electric has worked this county since 1981 and is on its second generation. The lake is close enough that coming back out is no trouble.

Panels and service upgrades
This is the job we do most around the lakes.
A cottage that has been added onto twice usually has a panel that ran out of room the second time, with no space left for the circuit you actually need, on a service sized for a place nobody stayed in past September.
Service upgrades and panel change-outs. Circuits for a remodel or an addition. Recessed and outdoor lighting, ceiling fans, boat house and yard lighting. EV chargers, pools and hot tubs.
See residential.
Docks, boat lifts and piers
We wire docks, boat lifts and piers on Webster Lake.
It is a circuit that has to leave the house and get all the way down to the water, so it gets run in conduit and buried, sized for the distance rather than for how far it looks, and given a disconnect somebody can actually reach. Everything at the water end is outdoor rated and GFCI protected.
Then it sits outside through an Indiana winter and gets used every weekend from May on, which is the part most people underestimate.

When there is more than one meter on the property
A lot of North Webster property is not one building on one meter. It is a cottage and a rental and a garage, or a row of sites off a single service, and somebody is responsible for reading and billing all of it.
That is its own kind of work: services and meter banks, sub-meters, pedestals, the panel that feeds the whole arrangement.
One we got called on: a campground owner phoned because a sub-meter’s reading had not changed in months. The meter was dead in the meter bank. We had a replacement on the truck, put it in the same day, and the readings started again.
Half the year switched off
Plenty of what we work on here is closed from October to April. Water gets shut off, breakers get turned off, and things sit.
We will come out and go through a place when it opens in the spring, and again when it closes in the fall. The outdoor receptacles, the lift, the well and the pump, the outbuilding nobody has opened since Labor Day. Better to find the dead circuit in April than on the first weekend you have people out.
Circuits that sit idle all winter and get loaded all summer are not the same animal as a house that runs all year.
Businesses in North Webster
Restaurants, shops, offices, churches and rentals: the commercial work we do in Warsaw, on smaller buildings. Parking lot and sign lighting.
When a business cannot close in the middle of a lake-town July, we work nights and weekends instead. See commercial.
When it cannot wait
A storm took the service off the side of the building. Power out. Something smells hot.
A lake weekend is no reason to wait until Monday, so call. We have answered this phone since 1981. Emergency electrician.
Questions people ask
- Do you wire boat lifts?

- Our place is closed all winter. Can you get in while we are gone?
- That gets arranged ahead of time. Say what needs doing and when the place is open, and we will work to it.
- Are you actually local, or an hour away?
- Our base is in Warsaw, in this county, so we are not driving in from another one.
