Electrician in Pierceton, Indiana

This is where we are from.

McClone Electric started here in 1981. Chris McClone founded it, and his son Dustin runs it now. If you live here you have probably seen the truck.

What being local actually means

Every electrician’s website says local.

The control panels are built in our own shop. We make all of our control boxes in house: we design, wire and test them ourselves, number every circuit and put a printed label under each device. If one needs work two years from now, the person who built it will still be in the county. A panel shipped from three states away comes with nobody to look at it. See custom controls.

Coming back is not a production. A lot of what makes an out-of-town contractor cheap on paper is that they are not planning to come back.

Around here everybody knows everybody. In a town this size a bad job follows you, and that is a stronger guarantee than anything we could print.

Houses in and around Pierceton

The dead outlet, the breaker that will not stay in, the half of the kitchen that went out. Service upgrades and panel replacements. Circuits for a remodel or an addition. See residential.

Shops, barns and outbuildings

There are more pole barns than houses out this way, and a barn with no power in it is the most common call of its kind we get.

Sub-panel, lights on the outside, LED high bay lighting so you can see what you are doing, outlets around the walls at working height. The wire gets trenched in from the house out to the barn.

That is its own page: pole barn wiring.

Farms on the edge of town

Farm shops. Three-phase out where the poles run thin. Grain systems, bins, dryers, legs, augers and conveyors.

At McClone Electric, WE KNOW AG. When the business started here, the first customers were farmers, and they still are. See agriculture.

Businesses in town

Small commercial — offices, shops, churches, rentals. The buildings are smaller than in Warsaw, and the owner is usually somebody we already know. See commercial.

When it cannot wait

We have answered the phone since we started here in 1981. A breaker that will not hold, power out: call, and do not wait until Monday. Emergency electrician.

Yes, and they are usually the same visit.
